Join/Merge Tables by Month

I have a table of monthly targets and a table of monthyl forecasts. I want to be able to display the data for both in one monthly bar chart so I'm trying to find a way to maybe merge the tables by their months but I can't quite figure it out, can anyone help?

@jdam0074 As a best practice, add date dimension in your model and use it for and time intelligence calculations. Once the date dimension is added, mark it as a date table on table tools.

connect both tables with date dimension and to visualize use column from date dimension and values from your fact tables.

@jdam0074 - You could do that or just create a Months table and relate it to your other 2 tables. You could try merging them in Power Query. You could also use NATURALINNERJOIN in DAX. You could also use DISTINCT() to create your Months table.
