Issues with new filter pane.

It's difficult to describe the issue. In my report I have many slicers set up. One of them is a drop down field that contains thousands of entries when all of the slicers on the page are set to default state. Obviously as I select various other slicers, it narrows this list down based on the data model.

The question I have is how can this behaivor be replicated on the filter pane? When I use the filter pane for the same filter as the slicer in my report all of the thousands of entries exists regardless of what I select on the page.

Is this normal, or is there a setting that "narrows" the list based on filtering on the page?

TIA.

Hi @sublog ,

The value you select in the slicer won't affect filter. You can use a filter to affect the value in another filter.

Hello @sublog

Try the format tab and edit interactions.

Regards!

Hey Ed, it's not clear what I am supposed to do? I don't see a format tab unless I select a slicer. The edit interactions doesn't appear to give me many options? I obviously am missing something here.
