Issues with MAQ Software Calendar Visual: Tooltips, Get Details, and Blank View

Hello everyone,

I’m using the Calendar by MAQ Software to display various events, each with a descriptive tooltip and a "Get Details" navigation option. It worked well initially, but I’m currently facing several issues:

• Tooltips are inconsistent: they sometimes appear in one month but not in others.

• "Get Details" is not working anymore.

• After applying certain filters or changing views, the calendar occasionally goes completely blank, and I have to close and reopen the report.

These problems occur both in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service. I’ve already updated both the visual and my Power BI version, but the issues still persist.

Has anyone experienced something similar or found a workaround?
Any help would be appreciated!

Hello Everyone,

Thanks for your patience and attention to the matter. All the issues mentioned in this post had been noted by our Dev Team and they are working for past few weeks on resolving all these issues. Due to some new policy changes done by Microsoft there has been some difficulties in publishing the new build with all the fix especially the issue with Calendar going blank. Due to this there has been some delay in getting the new build live on AppSource. 

However, now we have worked with Microsoft team to get a resolve this issue and we will be able to publish our new build with all the fixes by End of this week. Please note that it will take around 2 weeks for the new build to reflect on AppSource.

Thank you for continue using our Calendar visual and patiently waiting for the issues to get fixed. We will continue supporting all our users with any of their issues.

Note, if:

• the day-pane get hidden
• the hours get hidden

Tooltips crashes and eventually the visual stops interacting. If persist with the modifications, the visual crash.

Thanks!  I was having the same issue and reseting the "Views" and "Calendar Settings" toggle buttons to the defaults fixed the issue.

Hey @NatyKpps , i'm getting the same situation, here!
Already tried some modifications and even after remove some of the data (eg.: Details and Description), the visual starts to freeze. At first, it doesn't shows the tooltip anymore, then stop the calendars interactions. 

Unlike you, even closing and reopen the report helps to see the visual again. What've work is to update the visual someway to recover its normal state. In the service, page refresh or update report button. In the desktop, source update or add/remove some data, but crashes again, anyhow.

Now, I'm using a old report version to copy the visual, but when i do the customizing, those symptoms begin.

Thank you for your reply! This problem brings a lot of difficulties to my dashboard, as it is very impractical if I have to close it or load it again every time these issues arise. So I opted to change the visual and put together a calendar with an array visual and some dax.

Dear all,

We have encounter the same issues. When printing the report or sometimes out of nowhere, the calendar crashes and we get a white Visual that does not allow any interaction. It has been impossible to work with it as it freezes every half an hour or even less. Hope @MAQSupport can give as some news about this issue.
