Issues with HierarchySlicer when using field parameters and measure for sorting as values

Hi,

I have some issues with the HierarchySlicer downloaded from appstore.

When I put a measure in the values it always filter blank when I use parameterfiels, look at this image:

If I do the same on the same slicer, but without the measure it works:

I need this measure to sort the list in my real environment.

If i try the chiclet slicer with measure it also works:

Same on the native power bi slicer.

But, I need to use the HierarchySlicer because of the features it has.

I have also attached a power bi model (simple) so you can see an reproduce the issue.

Did not work to upload file, but I think you should be able to download it here:

Please help 😄

hi, @mariussve1

Using values you can (pre)filter the hierarchy to show only members with values. Typical scenario: Filtering a product/category hierarchy with sales. Values are not displayed in the visual.

You can change the indicator as shown below:

According to your example pbix, the result is as follows.

Hi @hackcrr,

Thank you so much for your response. Does this mean that I CANNOT use values to create a measure to sort the membership list? My membership list can have a different number of customers, and I want the member with the most customers to be at the top of the list. Currently, it is sorted alphabetically instead.

Can values ONLY be used to filter the list?

Hi, @mariussve1

Yes. The value of this slicer if row=1 as you described at the beginning, then your visual object will not show any data:

row=1 did not find any matches in your parameter. You can check out the profile of the author of this visual object:
