Issues with Data Refresh in Power BI using SharePoint Connection - Need Help with Error Message!

Hello dear Power BI community,

I'm currently facing an issue with refreshing my data in Power BI that uses a connection to SharePoint. Unfortunately, I'm receiving an error message that reads: "SharePoint: An error occurred while making the request: The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred during sending."

I've tried several troubleshooting steps to resolve this problem, but so far, I haven't had any success. It seems like the connection between Power BI and SharePoint isn't being established properly. I've double-checked my credentials and revised the connection settings, but the error persists.

Has anyone else here encountered a similar error message, especially in the context of SharePoint connections in Power BI? What steps did you take to address this issue? Are there specific settings or configurations that I might be overlooking?

I would greatly appreciate it if any of you could share your experiences and potential solutions with me. Any pointers could truly help me overcome this frustrating issue!

Hey,

Seems like this can not be the problem as I talked about this with our internal IT already. 

So far, we had no luck fixing the access with Power BI unfortunately.

did you try to open sharepoint and access the data with the same credentials as in power bi?

Of course - the error occurs only in power bi.

• Is this SharePoint Online or on-prem?   
• What is the URL pattern?
• Are you able to use Excel Power Query to connect, and browse content? 
• Have you determined which step in the query is failing? 
• Is this the only data source in the model?   
• Sounds as if there is more information behind the question that does not appear in the context of the post.   
• Please expand, add images, sample Power BI file, etc.
