Issue with data being updated after chaning its column type from decimal to percentage

Good day all. So I was trying to design a progress bar based on some data imported from Excel. The main focus issue here is the data of progress. I got the % right on excel, but when I import it to PowerBI, it goes back decimal. So I decide to go into edit query and change the column type to percentage. As the picture shows, it reflects the output right, however when I close and apply, the number shown in the visual graph stays as decimal and not percent. (NOTE: The axis should say 100% and not 0.25 on the right end of the graph as well)

This issue is happening in PowerBI Desktop. For some reason it works fine in the Web version. It reflects the % right in the visual graph.

Anyone knows what could be and how to resolve it? Thank you!

    Hi Daemetius,

Click the %Progress column of your table in Fields panel, then make sure that Percentage format is selected under Modeling ribbon. You can review the example in the screenshot below.

    Thanks,
