Issue with Power BI Desktop Version Update

Dear [Support Team / Microsoft Support],

I am facing an issue with updating Power BI Desktop to the latest version. Despite uninstalling the older version and reinstalling the latest one, the interface remains unchanged, and it still reflects the older version at the desktop level.

Issue Details:

  • Steps Taken:
    1. Uninstalled the existing Power BI Desktop version.
    2. Downloaded the latest version from the official Microsoft website.
    3. Installed the new version successfully.
    4. However, after launching, the interface remains the same, and it does not reflect the new version.

Troubleshooting Steps Tried:

  • Restarted the system after installation.
  • Checked the version number in the "About" section.
  • Cleared temporary files and cache.
  • Verified installation directory to ensure old files were removed.

I would appreciate your guidance on resolving this issue. Kindly let me know if there are any additional steps I should follow.

    Hi mavrick ,

     

    Thanks for posting.

    Have you checked your version of your new Power bi desktop?

    You can go to the 'File' Menu: Click on 'File' located at the top-left corner.
    Then navigate to 'About' and click at it.
    View the Version Details to see if it is the latest.
