Issue with Google Sheets Authentication in Power BI

I'm experiencing an authentication issue when trying to connect Power BI to Google Sheets. When I try to refresh my existing Google Sheets data connection or edit credentials, the process gets stuck at the authentication screen.

Specifically, when I click on 'Enter' to authenticate, the dialog shows 'You are being connected, please wait...' ('Você está sendo conectado, aguarde...') but it never completes the authentication process. The connection window remains frozen indefinitely.

This issue started occurring suddenly with reports that were previously working fine. I've tried:

Closing and reopening Power BI
Clearing browser cache and cookies
Using different authentication methods

The error appears to be related to recent changes in Google's authentication requirements, possibly related to mandatory multi-factor authentication implementation.

As a temporary workaround, I've exported the Google Sheets data to Excel and replaced the data source in Power BI, but I need a permanent solution for the direct Google Sheets connection.

Has anyone else encountered this issue recently or found a solution? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello @Ulisses_Serejo 

Use Web Connector with Published Google Sheet

If your data doesn’t require authentication (publicly shared sheet), you can bypass OAuth entirely:

In Google Sheets:

File > Share > "Anyone with the link" > Viewer

Get the published link:

File > Share > Publish to web

In Power BI:

Use Web Connector

Paste the link and transform it with Power Query.
