Issue opening Power BI

I just got the same error. But I could solve it by just repairing the version of webview2 runtime that was already installed. This installed the latest version automatically which should be version 130.0.xxxxxx. Before the repair I had version 120.x.xxxx or something like that (from march 2024).

You can always ask Copilot for help, below is a reply I got when I asked how to uninstall an older version of webview2. This works for repairing too, just choose "repair" instead of uninstall.

To uninstall an old version of WebView2, follow these steps:

1. Open Settings:

   • Press Windows + I to open the Settings app.

2. Navigate to Apps:

   • Go to Apps > Apps & features.

3. Find WebView2:

   • Scroll through the list or use the search bar to find “Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime”.

4. Uninstall:

   • Click on the entry and select Uninstall.
   • Follow the prompts to complete the uninstallation.
