Issue numeric data type | visual pannel is not recognizing the number data type anymore

Hi All, I am building a model and dashboard in pbi with a AWS connexion. The information contained in the database is all in string type, so when loading, cleaning and transforming the data, I have converted the text type into decimal and whole number accordingly. At first, it was working properly, but after a data refresh, the visuals are not recognizing the data as numeric values anymore (for example: I was able to use the column in a matrix visual as values, but after the refresh is not letting me replicate the chart)

We are not getting any errors when loading/refreshing the data, so we are seeking for further support to get this solved. Thanks in advance!

is there a reason that "total_USD" is in the visuals but you showed "subtotal" from the data view?

Hi, I sent the total example by mistake, given the same problem is affecting many fields of the model. Please find below the screenshot of total_USD, which shows the same information

The first thing to do is confirm in the data view what the datatype is currently set to for the fields you need.

If they are text, when you expect numeric, start investigating that.

"when loading, cleaning and transforming the data, I have converted the text type into decimal and whole number accordingly" is this in power query? If so, step through each step and see if the data type changes are being applied.

Tell me how that goes and we'll investigate further

The data type was converted in the power query editor and when loading it says "number". Anyhow, when trying to use the field as a value, linear visuals and matrix are not recognizing this field as a number. The weirdest thing is that before the refresh it was working just fine. We have checked the steps and we are not getting any errors/issues.
