I've been using and building on to the same PowerBI model for months but now it won't let me add new data source or repoint file paths to a new source. I can create a brand new PBIX file and add a new data source just fine, but my larger model will not add it. I have multiple versions of this large model that I've saved over the months and none of them will connect to a new source now. I became aware of this issue after trying to point the source of a dataset to an updated file path on onedrive. When it wouldn't load, I tried loading other files to see if it was just this one dataset. It isn't.
I thought maybe the file is too large, 94MB - 106MB, but again, I've been using it for months at this size and haven't had an issue until now. I see there is a file limit of 1GB to upload to PowerBI services so I'm clearly way under the limit.

HI @Anonymous,
Maybe you can try out parameter your connection string then you can change the data source parameter to point data table with the new data source: (these Datasource tables required has similar data structures)
Using the Power BI Service Parameters to change connection strings (To possibly change between Dev
In addition, the 1GB dataset limit means the power bi report datasets size. So if your report data source has been highly compressed that can be expanded over 1GB of data, it will also trigger the limitations.

Maybe the file has become corrupted - can you share via OneDrive link so someone can test and see if they're having the same issue? Have you tried on another computer?
