Issue: Power BI interpreting date incorrectly

I'm having an issue when typing in visual level, page level and report level filters.

I am looking to type the date, then Power BI to 'autofill' the date I was typing once I have pressed enter.

The issue: when I type "12/1" and press enter, I would expect to see 12th January 2001 (2001 being the default year in this case). However, Power BI reads "12/1" to be 1st December 2001.  Is there anywhere / anyway I can change this?

Many thanks

  • Hi Simon_Lou,

How about add the Date column into the Visual Level filter, and type the value in this format: "1/12/2001"?

    Best Regards,
    Qiuyun Yu

      Hi Quiyun Yu,

Yes - it appears that explicitly typing year removes the ambiguity in my issue.

      many thanks,
