Is there any way to gray out a slicer in Power Bi.

Hi All,

Can We gray out a slicer or make it read only so that the end user can't expand to selet the drop down slicer in Power BI?

Thanks,

Nha

Put a transparent rectangle over it.

you can use https://exceleratorbi.com.au/show-or-hide-a-power-bi-visual-based-on-selection/
then stack them together, and switch the order on selection pane so that "invisible visual" will be in front of the your slicer. so your slicer cannot be selected at all.

What If you put you column in you right filter pane like pic below and remove it from your report???

With this way, we can only remove something not meet condition of filter out of the report. But what I want is just show the category belong to the user. Just leave the slicer there and default select user's category and make it read only or just gray out that slicer.

If you apply row level security???

Yes, I am using RLS but it's not really important. What I care is how can I just make slicer read only. User just see the slicer but can't select
