Is there any built-in functionality to forecast in PowerBI or Synapse?

Hey,

I#ve time series data on spent budget. Is there any functionality within powerBI to forecast upcoming month in PowerBI Desktop or Azure Synapse?

Hi @Gerritlo ,

Forecasting in Power BI will allow you take a time series of data and make predictions or estimates about the future.  The forecasting tool is available in the analytics pane on Line charts.  

Apart from the built in line chart analytics for forecast you may build up a ML model on power BI service and apply that to your dataset. This would though need you to have a premium per user or premium capacity.
