Is there a way to start a Date slicer at a certain date?

Though I have prior year dates in my dataset, I'd like to allow users only to be able to slice on the current year. The prior year data is only there to bring in the prior year YTD totals based on current year selection. Is this possible? So basically, on the date slicer, I want the first date not allowed to go into 2020. So minimum value basically of 1/1/2021.

You can do this by visual level filter.

Select filter type is after and assign date.

Thanks. This solved the problem I thought...but what's interesting is the slicer is allowing you to slice farther back in time even though it won't show the date... it's odd.
