Is there a way to create a button for Export Data?
- Anonymous2 years ago
Thanks for the reply from bhanu_gautam ,, please allow me to provide another insight:
Hi,clayduvall
Thanks for letting us know your user experience. According to your case description, I do understand how frustrated you are now.
1.First of all, if your embedding method is Power BI embedded analytics, you can try to use the following link to achieve your functionality:
Export data from a visual in Power BI embedded analytics | Microsoft Learn
Here is a link to the documentation:

If not, the power automate approach, as mentioned by bhanu_gautam, seems to be a more efficient way to do it.2.Finally, there is a possible alternative:
You can choose to insert an icon, and then in its url place for your desired data download method link.
Second, you can change the header icon information to make the export data option more visible to users.
The following are related links:

We welcome you to submit your ideas to our design team. Many features of our current products are designed and upgraded based on customers’ feedback. With requirements like this increase, the problem may well be released in the future.
Thanks for your understanding.

Wow, so fast, awesome 😀
Would you be able to give a more thorough explanation, or reference something that give you the approach you used? We are using a very proprietary embedded approach for our reporting.
Sure. I created a power bi report and then used the Paginated report visual to embed it. Then you get all of the export options that paginated reports offers.
