Is there a way to batch change the data source connection string and publish to multiple workspaces?

Hello,

 

I have a situation where I need to deploy one version of report to different workspaces and change connection string to customer specific database. I know there is an import API for deploying to workspaces but not sure how to do that. Is there an example or video on how to use import API along with changing connection string?
