Is it possible to use a custom polygon in a map visual to update tabular data, like a table join?

Can you provide some sample data and the output you want so that can provide  more suggestion for you.  the information you have offered is little.

For more detail, I have data with a list of addresses that displays on the screen against a custom polygon reference. The addresses are pinpointed by a third-party georeferencing engine (Bing or someone else), and I don't have XYs.
