Is it possible to unmask the data which is masked in snowflake?

Hi All,

We have data stored in snowflake where few of the columns are masked. When we are importing ther data into Power BI desktop, is it possible to unmask the masked data from snowflake in Power BI desktop?

Thanks,

Prasanth Kumar Chavana

The data can be “unmasked” with T-SQL statements, so it's not secure against anyone who can write their own queries. Dynamic data masking is a SQL Server 2016 feature to mask sensitive data at the column level from non-privileged users. Hiding SSNs is a common example in the documentation.
