Hi all,
I have a narrative visual on a dashboard page that can be affected by 4 different slicers. Sometimes a certain combination of slicers results in there being no data, so the narrative visual just displays this:
Is it possible to somehow alter this message to explain that there is no data in the current selection? It makes it a bit confusing for some users as to why it's not generating anything.
Thanks!
Hi @jhalverson ,
Based on your description, first of all we can't determine which visualization you are using. the current version of power bi does not support custom error messages. If you want to remind the user that the current error is caused by no data, you can create a corresponding measure according to the data you want to show in the visualization, and put this measure into a card, when there is no data between your options, this card will prompt blank, of course you can also use the if statement to set the card to blnak with the sentence “there is no data in the current selection”.
