Is it possible to load CSV data from a remote host?

Hello,

 

I want to connect to a CSV file from a different windows machine. of course I have the remote host IP , the correct rights (I can ssh, sftp,...).

I have no idea how to proceed in power BI Get Data Text/CSV...

When I try Get Data Web and put in the URL field:  XXX.XX.XXX.XXX:/srv/file.csv

I get :

Unable to connect message 

Deatails: "Web.Content failed to get contents from 'https://website.com/srv/file.csv' (404): NOT FOUND"

 

I appreciate any help

    HI, abalgir 

    If you could script retrieving your file using your SSH client first. Likely, you could use PowerShell and script the SSH retrieval then the Power BI data manipulation/presentation.

      Thank you Lin,

       

      If by script you mean Python, I read that Python script in Power BI has a limitation to 150,000 rows for a dataframe.

       

      My data is 100 millions rows and growing.

       

      I am not sure it will work :-(
