Is it possible for Power BI to connect with Hive in Direct Query mode

I have a question go through it and give me a answer!

I went through the article below:

It would be nice if you can let us know whether

1. Power BI can connect with Hive in Direct Query mode.

2. Whether it is possible to schedule data refresh for Power BI reports (in import mode) using on-premises gateway.

Please refer any links to articles describing Hive and Power BI connectivity.

Connection to Hive in Direct Query mode is unsupported to date. Please review the following ideas and vote them.

Hortonworks Hadoop HDFS, Hive direct data source connection required
DB2 and Hive Direct Query capability. Is this on the roadmap?

You can create ODBC data source for cloudera hive, then connect to the ODBC data source in Power BI Desktop, then publish it to service, add ODBC data source under the gateway following the guide in this similar thread, then checkif it works.
