Hi,
Is it possible to access the Power BI API using Power BI itself? For example could I use Power BI to use the API to Get the Refresh History for a dataset using the Get Refresh History In Group API call?
The reason I ask is that I have a requirement to show the last update time on some of my reports. Currently I am using the technique to access the TimeZoneDB service as outlined on this RADCAD Blog page.
This works fine, but it does introduce a dependency on a third party system which I'd prefer to avoid.
The use of the Get Refresh History In Group API call looks very attractive. As it gives additional information which I can highlight in the report should the refresh have failed for example.
Any thoughts will be most welcome.
Hi @v-yuta-msft,
Thanks for the link. The video is interesting. Unfortunately it isn't exactly what I was looking for.
I'm more interested in the specifics of using the Power BI API with the Power BI application and Power BI service.
For example:
Do you, or anyone else on the community, have any information specific to using the Power Query capabilities in Power BI to access the Power BI APIs?
With thanks.
