Hi everyone,
Hope all is well. I'm fairly new to Power BI and still learning, so apologies in advanced if I've missed anything obvious!
I thought I'd post here as I cannot seem to find an answer anywhere. I'm trying to create an exploded pie chart (or something similar) in Power BI, however, it is not working the way it does when I do it in Excel.
Currently, I have a pie chart made up of calculations A, B, and C (in the Values field). Calculation C is a count of 3 different text values from column D. I would like to show a breakdown of calculation C in another pie chart, however, when I tried doing that by editing the interactions, the 2nd chart would total 100% instead of just a breakdown of calculation C's value (in this case 88%).
For reference, this is how I visualized it.
I also tried using custom visuals (Advanced Donut and Pie Chart, Drill Down Donut Pro and the likes) but to no avail.
Is there another way around this?
Thank you!
Hi @usernamekat ,
Have you used the column D on the second chart? On this case you need to use the the labels to show the total of the value and not the percentage over the total.
This should return what you need.

Check out my blog: Power BI em PortuguêsHi @MFelix,
Thanks for taking the time to look into this. I do have Column D on my second chart as the legend and when I change the labels to Data Value, it does give me an accurate breakdown of C, however, it has to be presented in percentage, as is all the other data in the main chart.
To give a bit more context on this, here's a sample data:
E, F and G contain similar data and are grouped together in the main chart as measure C.
Only A, B, and C, are needed in the main chart, while E, F and G would have to be visualized in the 2nd chart as a break down of C.
I hope this clarifies it and again, many thanks!
