Is creating a calculated column better than creating a new table in a power bi model

Hello Everyone!

I had a requirement recently to add 4 slicers in a power bi report, the slicers are for System name, Segment name, Part ID and Part description

Now my model sample is as shown below. Segment and System  come from the Segment table and Part id and Part description comes from Part table.

But since Segment table and Part table are not related so when any segment or system is selected the part id or part description does not get filtered.

So for this issue I had created a calculated column

Part_Num_Description = RELATED('Part Number'[Part Num Desc])
But there is also another suggestion to create a new table which will have all the above stated columns in a single table.
Can anyone suggest which solution will be the best to be followed in my case.

@Avivek , This is correct. Both table and column will increase load time. As you only need this for your join, this should be fine.
