Is a Matrix visual totally capable to do anything an Excel Pivot/PowerPivot can do?

Hello

I need to replicate Excel Pivots in PowerBI but I do not think they have the same capability/flexibility.

For example, enabling the 'old pivot' setting, you can add multiple groups of rows as separate columns next to each other.

Also, I think you can extract up to 1million rows into csv.

Are these and all the other Pivot/PowerPivot features available in Matrix visuals? If not, are there any alternatives or workarounds?
