Is Slicer will filter underlying source Direct query.

Hi,

Could someone please clarify how the Slicer operates in direct query mode? Specifically, does it filter the underlying source query to retrieve only the data selected in the slicer?

In my current setup with SAP Hana as a Direct Query source, I aim to filter data using a Slicer without applying filter at the Transform data level(M query). However, I must avoid bringing in the complete dataset from SAP Hana.
