Helper IIIIs Datamart Fabric component or PBI
Hello,
I am bit confused about Datamart. When I first read about Datamart in PBI, I read some blogs and it said it was basically an online version of PBI desktop and is Power BI Online or similar like that. But now I am hearing that it is a part of Fabric. Datamart and PBI are different. My company is turning off Fabric and saying that it will turn off Datamart as well. Just confused.
Hi Mkrishna -If your company is disabling Fabric, it makes sense that Datamarts will be turned off as well since they are now integrated into Fabric.means you won’t be able to use Datamarts in Power BI Service anymore.
When Datamarts were introduced in Power BI (around mid-2022), they were positioned as a self-service online data preparation tool within Power BI Service.Using Power BI datasets and dataflows instead.
