Community,
I have 3 tables created for now.
I would like to use matrix visualization to report inventory quantity on hand (QOH) by product by month, like the screenshot below (ideal solution). However, when I add YYMM, from Date table, as column in matrix visual, I get an error message says "can't display the visual". Please I'd appreciate any hint!!
PS. I have to use Date table as time intelligence/filter/slicer as I will have other tables like sales and COGS data linked to Date table. So at the end I can report on product sales by time period, inventory count by time period, inventory turnover by time period, etc. Thanks in advance for your time and advice!

@BIW aha, you relationship with date table is inactive and also you need to change the relationship to Single direction
double click on relationship line, choose cross filter to singe and also check active. you can see there is dotted line between date and inventory table , means it is not active relationship.

It says "can't determine relationships between the fields -- can't display the data because PBI can't determine the relationship between two or more fields"
Somehow the Date table has no effect in Inventory Balance table even though I have the 2 tables connected.
Help!!
@BIW can you share the relationship diagram?
