Inventory Report - Displaying Selected Item Details

Hi All,

I have an inventory report where I display all items on a single page. It shows information about each item.

The user wants the ability to select a specific item, which would then display a page with details for only that particular item. The design of this second page will be the same as the first page, but it will only display the details of the chosen item.

Thanks.

D

Hi @sdhn ,

With drillthrough in Power BI reports, you can create a destination target page in your report that focuses on a specific entity such as a supplier, customer, or manufacturer. When your report readers right-click a data point in other source report pages, they drill through to the target page to get details that are filtered to that context. You can set up drillthrough in your reports in Power BI Desktop or the Power BI service.

According to your description, I have created two identical pages: Page 1, Page 2.

In Page 2, “Product” is used as a drill-though field.

In Page 1, select a Product to drill through.

It will jump to Page 2 and display the following.

Hi Clara.

I created a second page identical to Page 1. My goal is to set up a drill-through on the "Applications" column.

I selected a tables consits of three columns.

I selected a table that consists of three columns and checked the "Keep all filters" option.

Where can I select the "Applications" column for drill-through?

Thanks

Hi @sdhn ,

You can drag the Applications field here from the data window. Then right click on the data you want to view in another page to see the drill through options.

For more information on the configuration of the drill through and what it does, you can refer to the link I provided in my answer above.
