I would like to integrate metrics from powerbi into the display on the outlook calender, so that when you looked at your day it would have historical data from last year. Is that possible?

I'm not sure it goes back that far (depending on tenant settings), but you can use the Exchange connector under Get Data in Power BI with your Microsoft sign in to analyze your Mail and Calendar data.
