    koushikB,

    Using the built-in drill down hierarchy feature in Power BI Desktop, you can interact with other charts.

    Take the following sample as an example, when you turn off drill mode in the column chart and select a data section in the column chart, the table visual will be filtered.

Out of exploration, 

 

Drill down donut chart works well but I wish there can be some visual that can provide over all picture for hierarchical data
