Interactive map with multiple layers and color-coding by dimension

I am new to Power BI and was wondering if there is a map visual that is capable of visualising polygons and point (latitude and longitude) at the same time. I need the two layers to interact with eachother - if I select a polygon, I want the see the points and the data to the points within this polygon and vice versa, if I select a point, I want to be able to see only the polygon, within which the point lies. Furthermore, I am looking for a solution where I can color the point by dimension values and to color the polygons based on another dimension. Preferably, I looking for a visual that does not requeire further licensing fees.

Hey there,

We're not aware of any free visuals that will do the use case you've described.   That said, the Territory Visual by EasyTerritory does most of what you're looking for.   Here is a video of drilling down from polygons to points.  The point data at the lowest level can be Accounts or centerpoints of Postal Codes (ZIP Codes).   The color coding of the Regions>Territories>Accounts is driven by a single dimension. That said, you can drive the Account point size by second dimension at the lowest level.  You'll see that in the video.

There is an entry-level pricing option for low numbers of Power BI users.

You can get our visual on AppSource here.

You'll also need trial access to our web portal for building your territories (polygons).

Hope this helps!
