Interactions from visual to slicer

Is it possible to filter slicer options with interaction from a visual?

I have interaction from visual to slicer set to filter

I can filter the visual by selecting the option in the slicer...

But, if I try to do the other way, other visuals are filtered but, the slicer is not impacted...

Hi @RobertSlattery ,

You can apply visual-level filter in slicer to filter the slicer option.

I would so like to use yingyinr's solution but I will admit I am not grasping it based on the visual provided in the answer. I very much want to get my slicer to update to reflect a selection made in a visual on the same page, but after sinking most of the afternoon into it, I'm still gettting nowhere with something I would think should take a few seconds.  Can you elaborate on the steps to take?  Thank you.

Hey @RobertSlattery ,

can you please provide a pbix that contains sample data, but still reflects your data model. Upload the pbix to onedrive or dropbox and share the link.

What you want can be achieved, depending on your data model and how you are using the columns and set the relationships.

Regards,

Tom
