Integrating GIT with PowerBI

Power BI doesn't support to use built-in GIT to back up PowerBI Reports.

And if you just want to integrate Git with PowerBI, the most straightforward way is to use GitHub template app.

A lot of replies to GitHub questions are beyond me. They assume a level of knowledge I don't have. I've created some repos (basically just folders with some stuff in them), but if I want to set up my Power BI environment so that my code (reports/dashboards0 is stored in Git, is that simple to set up?
