Integrate PowerApp in Power BI Desktop

Hello everyone. I have created a PowerApp that, once two fields are filled in, returns an API key. I have added this App to my report in Power BI Desktop and my question is whether it is possible to add the resulting PowerApp value as a table row in Power BI.

Actually, my goal is to use the resulting value in an R Script within Power BI, so if you could tell me if it is possible or not, I would appreciate it.

Regards,

Miguel Angel

@miguelcasi you have to store the data somewhere to read in Power BI. Seems like going in circles here. check this post.

But this has many steps in Power BI Service, while I need to do in Desktop. Is it the same process?

@miguelcasi not sure what you mean by opposite:

- Add new record using Power App

- view data in Power BI

- once record entered in Power App, show new/updated records in Power BI

Is this not the process?

What I really need is a mix of the first two steps. First of all, in Power BI there is an empty table called "Token". On the other hand, the following window appears in PowerApp (image below).

Before fillBefore fillAfter fillAfter fill

Once the username and password are filled in, the application returns a value. Finally, that value returned by PowerApp should be inserted into the "Token" table. You know what I mean now? Thanks a lot.

@miguelcasi yes it can, not sure where Power App is storing the data and if the same source is used in Power BI, you can for the Power BI dataset refresh thru Power App and it will show up in Power BI. I have done similar projects many times.

Hi @parry2k , thanks for your quick reply. However, I think I need the opposite. My idea is to create a new row in Power BI Desktop from the resulting value that appears after filling in the two input text boxes. Do you know if this is possible?
