Ok, the install package shoud be fine. Please restart your computer and check if it is successful.

I've re-downloaded the update and restartedc my PC, however it still does not load.  The exact message is attached.  Any other idea?

    It's weird, Do you mind copy the installation package to other computer and check if it works fine.

      I did try that actually with the same result!  The only thing I did not try is completely uninstalling it and reinstalling... I am worried about doing that since I use it quite frequently and would not want lost any working version.

        Based on the error message I doubt this is the issue but worth a thought.  Do you have a conflicting versions (32 vs. 64 bit) of Access installed?  I know this can cause an issue with Power BI, but I doubt it would result in the error you are seeing.  Just a thought
