Instagram data in power bi

Hi,

Does Power BI has capability to extract Instagram data and can see organic and paid impressions? Any alternative apporach like facebook API.

Hello, still no, but you can use windsor.ai they have a connector for instagram insights in power bi.

But for instagram ads you can get it using the facebook ads connector, because now they are both connected with the meta ads manager

You can use pre-built third-party integrations as an alternative solution to pull different Instagram data points in Power BI.

If you are using cloud data warehouse like Amazon Redshift or Google BigQuery to store your data, you can try Instagram Business IQ connector by Openbridge for collecting account and media data, and connect it to Power BI: https://openbridge.com/product/openbridge-instagram-business-iq.

The connector is free to use and gets you access to the following data:
- media metadata including account, media and user identification data and URLs
- media insights for video, photo, carousel album and stories include impressions, likes, reach, saved media, video views
- business account metadata including account ID, Facebook account ID biography, followers and follow counts, media count, name, profile picture URL, username and website
- business account insights including impressions, reach, gender and age distribution, location distribution, audience country distribution, audience city, online followers, followers count, email contacts, phone call clicks, text message clicks, get directions clicks, website clicks and profile views

If you are not using any data warehouse yet, Redshift and BigQuery offer free trials. You can sign up and connect either one to Power BI.

Be aware, with recent legacy Instagram API changes, you need to transfer to Instagram Business Account in order to get access to performance data.

Yeah, it's not working now. You vote it, just let PG know more people need the feature. So that it may be considered to develop, but not sure. It's up to PG's work. I really thank you for understanding.

I read so many documents about that topic. but I couldn't establish a connection to Instagram via power BI

 Thank you for  your solution .

This one only connects to Facebook.  I cannot be able to connect to Instagram. When I push the Instagram connector button it shows me facebook page for permission.

Do you know how to connect with this connector? Or  Did  you use  this connector  before  to connect Instagram

Instagram has an API but it doesn't look like there are endpoints available to view the data you are looking for:

I logged in instagram and tried to create a access token for a product company, but it didn't generated Access token.

If I want to extract a product based company data like apple, samsung. will I be able to do that??

I haven't worked with the Instagram API.  I suggest you look through their documentation.
