Independant Network Visualization for Multiple Related Tables

Hi, I'm trying to create the following visualization in PowerBI. I'm 90% there, but not sure what's missing, or how to proceed.

This is what I have:

  1. I've created the following tables in Excel, as a test. The primary table has the various relationships between different nodes within the other tables.
  2. I then brought those tables into PowerBI, and the following relationships were created;
  3. And then proceeded to create various visuals.

Here is what I'm struggling with:

  1. No matter what I do, I can't seem to get the Network Visualization to filter the other visuals within PowerBI;
  2. In the Networking Visualization, I'd like to be able to see the "orphaned" nodes, and not only the connected nodes; and
  3. Last but not least, blanks should not be considered a "relationship" node.

Any thoughts or suggestions on this, would be hugely appreciated, and hope this helps others with the same problem.

    That follows from your data model. The filter direction is going toward the network table, not from it.

    What made you choose all these different tables? You only need two tables - one with items and weights, and one with relationship pairs.
