Indenting Text in a Slicer

Hi All,

I have a field that I want to put into a slicer that is a hierarchy.  I have the text formatted in the table to have spaces at the beginning to simulate indenting the text, but when I use this field in a slicer the spaces are trimmed off the front.  Is there anyway that I can stop this?  I know that in a table/matrix visual you can turn off word wrap to achieve this but this option seemingly doesn't exist for the slicer.

Many Thanks,

James

  • Hi _JamesB ,

Tried a quick test with a second column using Concatenate. Doesn't work. However you might explore using with some hidden characters or commands.

If this solves your issues, please mark it as the solution, so that others can find it easily. Kudos are nice too.

      Hi Nathaniel_C ,

I just found a useful website with lots of special space characters.  It seems PowerBI doesn't trim these! :)  I'll post the link in case anyone else finds this (short) thread: https://www.brunildo.org/test/space-chars.html

I use three punctuation spaces which indented perfectly.

      Thanks,

      James
