Incremental refresh

I have been exploring the possibility of implementing incremental refresh in Power BI to optimize data loading. However, I couldn't find clear information in the documentation regarding support for incremental refresh when the data source is Hive.
If anyone has successfully implemented incremental refresh with hive as data source. If so, Could you please share your experience. To connect hive we are using ODBC connector.

The only thing that is really required is that you provide a query filter that can control the partitions.  Usually this is implemented via the RangeStart and RangeEnd  datetime or dateinteger parameters.

Desired (but not required)  option will be that these filtered queries can be "folded"  (ie handed back over to Hive).
