Incremental refresh | Powerbi Pro
Hello,
I have a decent size historical data stored, and every time i refresh the dashboard it takes ages.
I tried to mess around with incremental refresh and this is what i have done so far:
Im using a sharepoint folder connection
Power Query
- create parameters with rangeStart and rangeEnd
- apply those to my date/time column
( i read that an indicator of if the incremental will work is by checking if "view native query" is enabled which its not in my case)
Dashboard
- created the incremental refresh like below
- tried to change the "detect data changes " to use my data modified column
( i always get the same warning "unable to confirm the ...")
- tried to change the "detect data changes " to use my data modified column
Conclusion:
After all this, it still refreshes all data 😕
Wondering if its even possible with my current settings
Thanks in advance

It is just a tip:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/admin/service-premium-incremental-refresh#query-folding
and for Query folding, see this blog:
