Your steps are already most likely pushed to the database, you can always verify by right-clicking the last step and see whether the View Native Query is greyed out or not.
If you see it as in the picture not greyed out, you're folding your steps back to the source.
If you use clicking method, and you navigate through your database and then apply SelectRows as you did, most likely it's already pushed back.
Example:
= Table.SelectRows(dbo_base_warehouse_tasks, each [date]>= Date.StartOfMonth( [date]))this will be folded back like this:
where [_].[date] >= datefromparts(datepart("yyyy", [_].[date]), datepart("m", [_].[date]), 1)That's a snippet from the Native Query.

That will fold to SQL (so SQL Server does the filtering) as long as folding is still enabled at that step.
How to confirm:
In Power Query, right-click the Filtered Rows step → View Native Query
If it’s enabled and shows a SQL statement with a WHERE clause, it’s folding (filter is pushed).
If it’s disabled, something earlier broke folding, and the filtering happens in Power Query instead.
