Hi,
I am using import mode for getting data. Data is in structured tablular format. Whenever I am right clicking on a table under Data, it is not showing Incremental Refresh option, in May 2023 version of power BI desktop(Version: 2.117.984.0 64-bit (May 2023)), the one which shows May 2023 in the title bar. Can you pls assist on why its not coming and how can I enable it.
Hi @Anonymous
Your issue can be resolved by installing a new version of PBI desktop. sometimes it happens you dont find few option. I have installed the lastest version of PBI desktop.
So without creating Range Start and Range End in Power Query I can still see the option of Incremental refresh.
@Anonymous It is recommended to update your version.
If my post helps please give kudos and accept it as a solution!
Thanks.
Hi @Uzi2019 Thank you for your reply. Yeah I can see that option in another version. But I have this constrain of using this version only with the client. Hence need solution.
Hi @Anonymous ,
A possible reason why the Incremental Refresh option is not showing up in Power BI Desktop is that you have not created the required RangeStart and RangeEnd parameters for your table. These parameters are used to filter the data based on a date/time column and define the incremental refresh policy . You can create these parameters by going to Transform data > Manage Parameters > New Parameter in Power BI Desktop.
Please learn more about incremental refresh.

Hi @Anonymous Thank you for your response. But I did try that, creating parameters for RangeStart and RangeEnd. Then filtering the date field of the table as per these parameters. But still I am unable to see Incremental Refresh option.
Whereas this option of Incremental Refresh is available without even creating parameters in other versions like below version, where in the title bar May 2023 doesnt appear.title bar
