Incremental Refresh on pbix

Hi I'm importing folder as source in a file. Since most of the files don't change, its pain to have them refreshed every run unnecessarily. Am I allowed to set up incremental refresh on pbix file. ...

    Hey g1_p ,

     

    incremental refresh works only for sources that support query folding, so only for relational databases.

    With folders directly you cannot have incremental refresh, neither in the Power BI Service, nor Power BI Desktop.

     

    You could however load your folders by Azure synapse and then do a incremental refresh on Azure synapse. But I guess that's now what you are looking for.

    g1_p there is no concept of incremental refresh in the Power BI desktop, it is used when you are doing schedule refresh in the Power BI service.

     

    Also in case you go to service and sticking to the files this post can help, How you can incrementally refresh any Power BI data source (This example is a CSV File) - Reporting/Analytics Made easy with FourMoo and Power BI
