Increase in PBIX file size

Hello All,

I have a PBIX template created with Visuals and i utilize the same PBIX file with different SQL tables when new client joins (by having minor changes in visuals as per client specific). I did obsere that the PBIX file in increasing in size from 10 MB from first client to 60 MB for 4th client although the data is less compared to first client.

  • I do this by deleting all the tables and add new tables altogether.
  • Measures are same in each PBIX file with few minor changes in formulas as per client.

if anyone have come across this then please do let me know if you have a resolution.

Thank you,

Babulal

I did go through other questions in the forum and found a answer by diabling Auto Date and Time under

Option and Settings->Option->Data load and by doing this it decreased the size of PBIX file by 90%. I will now test the whole visuals if it didin't break anything.

@Anonymous , I am assuming you start with the same template file every time for a new client. I think this can be because of the data size of that customer.

Yes @amitchandak, But I i delete all the data from existing and reload new sql tables and then creating connections and writing measures once again and the latest onboarded cleint data is only half of the first client.
