Incorrect Anomaly symbol compared to actual data point
Hi everyone,
Did anyone else experience this issue where the anomaly symbol is placed at the incorrect position?
For example, the anomaly detected is presented at 7:55am when it is referring to 3:55pm (see grey vertical line).
For some reason, the x-axis for anomaly detection is truncated as shown below -
Thanks all.
Best.
Hi Royston
The issue may be related to the X-axis being defined as continuous instead of categorical, where each value is plotted along the axis. It can also occur if the data is not continuous. To check this, try switching the axis to categorical and see if the anomaly symbol aligns correctly.
To provide a more accurate answer, please share the PBIX file with the data through one of the public cloud services and include a link.

The anomaly symbol is likely misplaced due to a mismatch between the data index and actual timestamp—often caused by timezone shifts, index-based plotting, or preprocessing lag. To fix it, ensure your anomaly markers use real timestamps and align with the chart’s x-axis format.
