Including a specific Date in a Line Chart
- Anonymous5 years ago
Hi Anonymous ,
According to my understanding, you want to add a vertical line to a chart, right?
To my knowledge, it's not availavle currently in Power BI, but you could take a look at this workround:
I believe you can get more hints from these threads:

After reading the article you provided I'm not sure what more information I should provide, but I will give it my best shot.
My data is incremental, with one data point recorded each month on the first day of the month. I have a line chart that shows spending data across one fiscal year. The data is drawn from three different tables. Each table contains a column denoting the date and are linked in my schema with a reference table that contains a single column that has unique date values for each of the dates contained in the other tables. I am attempting to mark on each line a single date (e.g. April 1st).
Does that include enough information to help clarify the problem?

Hi Anonymous ,
By additional information I need some screenshot around
- what data you have (may be some sample data)
- what data model you have got
- what kind of visuals you have in your report
- A sample visual that you want to achieve.
Thanks,
Pragati

Alrighty, I can't share the specific information, but I can share a sample data set that I created. I am not sure how to create the effect I'm looking for in Excel either, but I can describe it verbally. I am trying to place a marker on each line on the date of 4/1/2021.
