hi,
i have a pivoted excel which i need to double click and generate the data and then connect it to Power BI.
is it possible that, that pivoted excel can be loaded and the complete data view can be extracted in Power BI?
Hi @vjnvinod,
From your description, I guess you want to import Excel workbooks that contain Power Query queries, Power Pivot models, and Power View worksheets into Power BI Desktop, right? If so , you could import the excel , from Power BI Desktop select File -> Import -> Excel Workbook Contents like the picture below. You can refer to this link: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/desktop-import-excel-workbooks.
If not, could you post me some pictures to test for your problem?
Regards,
Daniel He
thanks for coming back, actually not, i have an excel sheet in xlsm format, which comes as a normal Pivot data from a internal SQL server.
To get the expanded version of the excel i always need to double click on the grand total, which will produce another excel tab, which has data at the line item levels.
My question was apparently on, how do i connect such excel to Power BI and get the complete extract out of the pivot table already built in.
