Import data with odbc connector
Hello all,
please guys, i perform an import to power bi desktop using odbc connector to my Hive database the import finished successfully but i noticed that the data imported to power bi truncated compared to what i have in hive, for example i have for a table in hive 10 million records but in power bi it only import 4 million thats the case for all tables, i tried to import tables one by one doesn't work also tried the sql query to import it and having same results, i don't really know where is the probleme as i didn't get any error message.

Hello @Ayoubid,
Since you’re not getting any error messages, the issue could be related to ODBC driver settings or query limitations.
1. Open ODBC Data Source Administrator (Windows).
2. Locate your Hive ODBC driver and go to Advanced Settings.
3. Look for "Row Fetch Size" or "Max Rows Fetched" and increase the value (e.g., from 100,000 to 1,000,000).
4. Apply changes, restart Power BI, and retry the import.
Hope this helps!

Hi @Ayoubid
Sahir_Maharaj provided great troubleshooting suggestions in his reply, have these helped you resolve the problem?
If yes please accept his reply as a solution, it will make it easier for other users experiencing the same problem to find a solution.
If the problem still persists, please try the following steps:
1. Check the limitations of the data source: Sometimes the data source itself may place a limit on the size of the query results. Make sure that the Hive database does not have any limits set.
2. Update Power BI and ODBC drivers: Make sure you are using the latest version of Power BI Desktop and ODBC drivers. Sometimes an update can resolve some known issues.
Best Regards,
Jarvis Tang
